Shining 3D Einscan H 3D Scanner

Application:

  • Scanning of people (portrait, full-length) and other living objects
  • Museums and preservation of cultural heritage
  • Design
  • 3D modeling, AR/VR, computer graphics
  • Customization and development of non-industrial products

Einscan H is Shining 3D’s innovation in 3D scanning. This handheld 3D scanner combines two scanning technologies – LED and invisible to the human eye infrared light.

This combination makes the scanner versatile for non-industrial use: it can efficiently and quickly scan objects, including texture and color capture, as well as people – faces, bodies, and even, in very good quality, hair. At the same time, scanning in IR light is still comfortable for people, especially for portraits, because it does not make their eyes glare.

IR light is also great for capturing data from dark surfaces and from highly detailed objects such as hair. Most mid-priced handheld scanners have problems with such surfaces, they need to treat the object with a matting agent to scan successfully. But you can’t spray or powder a person’s head, so good face and hair scans require the advanced technology that the Einscan H offers.

The scanner has a special mode for scanning people – Face Scan for portrait scanning with infrared light. The invisible radiation is comfortable for the eyes and does not glare, allowing you to take the best portrait possible.

The Einscan H boasts a high resolution of up to 0.25mm allowing it to capture almost any detail of medium to large objects such as furniture or artwork. At the same time, the scanner is also good at capturing dimensions with up to 50 µm accuracy in LED mode and volumetric accuracy of up to 0.1 mm/m. So it can transfer the size of objects and their details into the digital world as close to real as possible.

The scanning speed is also on par with the best handheld scanners – up to 1,200,000 points per second. In terms of resolution and accuracy, the Einscan H is definitely better than the younger members of the Einscan line, the Pro 2x and Pro 2x Plus. The capture area of a single scan is 420×440 mm and allows you to scan large objects such as furniture and even vehicles quickly and without problems. An optimized alignment algorithm ensures efficient alignment despite small movements of the scanned object or person.

Color camera in LED mode provides full color texture capture and texture alignment including. An important feature for digitizing works of art and 3D modeling.

The Einscan H scanner itself is very lightweight and ergonomically designed for maximum ease of use. It weighs less than one kilogram, and scanning and mode switching can be controlled by a convenient button on the handle.
